The composite battery driver interacts with the battery class driver in much the same way that a battery miniclass driver does, but it is transparent to other miniclass drivers. The system has one composite battery driver, supplied by Microsoft. The battery class driver supports all the battery miniclass drivers and the composite battery driver. In Internet Explorer, click Tools, and then click Internet Options. On the Security tab, click the Trusted Sites icon. Click Sites and then add these website addresses one at a time to the list: You can only add one address at a time and you must click Add after each one.

Update on Battery problem...Guys this is related to my Battery problem that i posted before...correct me if Im wrong but I noticed my Battery Drivers... I opened Device Manager and clicked on the Batteries and noticed that there are only 2 drivers there: 1. Microsoft AC adapter those are the only drivers that are in Device Manager...correct me if im wrong but there should be 3 right? the Microsoft Composite Battery?...do you think its the reason why Im having trouble with my battery? |
reThis might not work but you can restore the laptop to it's default factory settings and see what happens(after backing up your data of course) |
rewell I just finished Recovery Area...and its still the same...is it safe to assume that Microsoft Composite Battery is 'bundled' with Microsoft ACPI in Windows 8?,im not sure, but I read some articles about that... |
reI don't know what the problem could be but you could contact tech support on the official vendor website or visit the forums there. |
UntitledReply to posting re by vipe You're being sub-par in the intelligence department. Lithium Ion batteries don't respond well to draining halfway and then being charged again. If you want to be cheap, go back to the store and get it replaced. Don't believe half the crap people tell you here, in regards to your other post the poster who sheepishly wrote that your laptops cooling system operates separately from all other components was the biggest load of crap I've ever read. You left your laptop on in your case, potentially damaging it. Your fault. If you had shut it down correctly, there's no way it could have ever gotten hot, and even if it did, no way for the fans to turn on. Also, a Sony Vaio is the shittiest model and brand you could have ever purchased. Good day. |
reduh? lmao...just so you now,i know everything about li-ion battery life cycle...lmao...thats why I asked why my battery suddenly went dead in just a day...if your battery becomes dead,it would SLOWLY DETERIORATE,meaning in a span of couple of days or weeks you could see the deterioration...but my battery was working great for months, and held an average of 3.5-4 hours...then suddenly ONE DAY,it could not reach 100%,just like that...and next time when you try to comment, stop being a bitch... Good day |
go andBuy yourself a new one. Like with car batteries, the only cure for a bad battery is . a new one. |
reReply to posting Untitled by CrackTheSky There is no need to insult people who come here asking for help. I'm sure there was a time you yourself didn't know the answer to his problem but that didn't make u any less intelligent. |
reReply to posting Update on Battery problem... by Vipe I am not familiar working with windows, but in that link I gave you they also directed to this page. |

reReply to posting re by vipe months, and held an average of 3.5-4 hours...then suddenlyHow long does your battery take to discharge now as opposed to average 3.5-4 hours? |
remy battery never reaches 100%,it stays at random percentages..like 65%, 73% ,79% etc...so basicaly the battery lasts only 1.5 hours now...and when it discharges at about 24%,it suddenly goes down from 24% to 10% or 7% in just a minute...and my other question is I just noticed that 'MICROSOFT COMPOSITE BATTERY is not included in my battery drivers in Device Manager, there are only 2 drivers under BATTERY...there should be 3 drivers there right? |

Microsoft Composite Battery Driver
reReply to posting go and by Kilroy_of_Aus well thats what im planning to do or maybe just buy a UPS,but my concern is there is no MICROSOFT COMPOSITE BATTERY in device manager,as far as I know there are 3 Drivers under the Battery right?...or is it different in Windows 8? |
reReply to posting re by vipe I won't consider it a driver problem. The problem is solely with the battery. It's dyeing. |
reyeah,aryt...but how about MICROSOFT COMPOSITE BATTERY in Device Manager? is it really not in windows 8? cuz my other laptop with Windows 7 has 3 drivers under Battery...and this laptop only has 2,which are the Microsoft AC Adapter and Microsoft ACPI |
reReply to posting re by vipe I'm quoting this reply from the link provided... 'The Microsoft Composite Battery Driver (MCBD) does not have anything to do with the battery charging or not charging. The charging function is controlled by the Hardware Charging Circuit that is a part of the Motherboard installed in the laptop. |
Microsoft Composite Battery Driver Win 10 Pro

I was having difficulty getting Windows 10 to recognize my CPS1500AVR UPS and attempted to update the driver. Hp Laserjet 3050 Scanner Driver For Windows 10. Unfortunately in the process, the composite battery device and/or driver was deleted and I cannot seem to get Windows 10 to automatically reinstall it.
Scanning for hardware changes does not detect/install the battery device. Is there a way to get this device/driver restored without creating havoc in the OS (i.e. Overwrite current settings and configurations). The battc.sys file is still in place, however I do not see a compbatt. Pixma Mp150 Driver For Windows 10. sys driver which earlier versions of Windows had. Appreciate any feedback.
Microsoft Composite Battery Driver Windows 10
Hello, Syed, Thanks for the reply. There does not seem to be a driver for the UPS unit - I have scoured the vendors website to no avail. I do have a Windows 7 box that is working correctly with the same UPS unit, and Windows 7 identifies the device on the Control Panel Device Manager under 'Batteries' heading with a signature of: Driver provider: CyberPower Date: Version: 2.3.0.0 Signer: Microsoft Hardware Compatibility Publisher. When I click for Driver details, it says no driver is required, and yet there is an option to uninstall the device. That is the option I took in Windows 10 that started this whole issue (though Windows 10 was not able to establish communication to the UPS via the USB interface). Both Windows 7 and Windows 10 showed the same information prior to my selection of the 'uninstall the device' on the Windows 10 machine.
